Updated [date] · 6 min read
The PayandPay Payment Gateway lets your website or app accept online payments through UPI, cards, net banking, wallets and EMI with a single integration. This guide explains how a payment moves, which methods are supported, and how to go live.
How a payment works
Every online payment passes through the same few steps. PayandPay handles the secure parts so your customer gets a fast checkout and you get a clear record of every transaction.
- 01Customer paysYour customer chooses a payment method at checkout and enters their details.
- 02Details are encryptedPayment details are encrypted before they leave the checkout page.
- 03Sent for approvalPayandPay routes the request to the bank or network that issued the customer’s card, account or UPI handle.
- 04Approved or declinedThe bank checks the payment and sends back an approval or a decline, usually within seconds.
- 05You are notifiedYour customer sees the result instantly; your dashboard and webhooks show the same status.
- 06Money is settledSuccessful payments are settled to your registered bank account on your settlement cycle.

Where you can use it
Set up the Payment Gateway
- 1Create your account
Sign up and complete onboarding with your business details. See Documents required.
- 2Get your API keys
Open Dashboard → Settings → API keys and generate test keys first.
- 3Integrate checkout
Use our REST APIs, SDKs or a ready plugin for your platform. See SDKs & plugins.
- 4Test, then go live
Run test payments in test mode, then switch to live keys once your account is activated.
Tip: set up webhooks before going live, so your system is told about every payment, refund and failure in real time — even if the customer closes the browser.
Frequently asked questions

Successful payments are settled to your bank account on your agreed settlement cycle: [T+X working days]. See Settlements.
Can I accept international payments?+
[Answer to be confirmed — describe availability and the documents needed.]
What happens if a payment fails?+
The customer sees the failure reason at checkout and can retry with another method. Failed payments are listed in your dashboard with the reason, and no money is deducted for a declined payment.
